Hello!    Ciao!    ¡Hola!

This is some advice from the bride and groom on what to wear (and not to wear) to be in tone with the style of the wedding, followed by a few examples.

Rule no. 1: please do not wear white. If you do, the bride will kill you and throw you in the ocean.

  • Yes, white backgrounds with colourful patterns count as white.
  • White shirts for men are OK. Sorry ladies.

Important note: Regardless of the style you choose, remember that even though it is a beach wedding in Southern Spain, temperatures tend to drop in the evening after sundown. It is also not unlikely to have a relentless breeze coming from the sea, so you may be cold. Unless you’re English, in which case you’ll most likely be fine.

Ladies - Dress

Long colourful dresses are the attire of choice, but they are not the only option of course.

You are free to wear a short(er) dress if you want to, but always keep in mind that temperatures drop in the evening so you may be cold. You better bring a jacket!

Keep two things in mind:

1. It’s a wedding on the beach, so if you look like you’re ready for a night at the Opera, you might look out of place.

2. It’s a wedding on the beach, but it’s still a wedding. If you look like you’re ready for a lazy afternoon of sunbathing, you might look like an id… ehm, slightly underdressed.

Ladies - Shoes

Believe it or not, this is the number one question we’ve been receiving: “what kind of shoes should I wear?”

The answer is whatever kind you want, keeping in mind that:

  • you will have to walk on the sand only to get to and come back from the ceremony on the beach;
  • although in the photos of the venue one side of the outside area is sandy, we were told that it will be replaced by decking before the wedding.

Wedges (see photo) are a good option, but there is plenty more according to your taste and choice of dress.

Gentlemen

Gentlemen are not as fussy as ladies when it comes to clothing, so let’s get straight to the point:

3. Tie is optional.

Note: we refused to create a separate section for gentlemen shoes. We are sure there is a woman in your life (partner, mother, sister, friend, etc.) who will make the appropriate selection on your behalf.
